Falcon Ernie Clements Olympic Bicycle, w/ Aluminum Frame?
Came across this online and looking at the construction is this an aluminum/lugged frame? The pictures online I've found of other Ernie Clements bicycles all seem to be steel construction frames, but the way the tubes and lugs are joined look very different from what I would expect for a, my guess, 1970s era bike. The lug at the top of the seat tube, seat stays, top tube is particularly striking. Does this bike ring a bell with anyone? Is it an early aluminum frame?

It's just the way it's been painted. That's a steel frame. Those are standard Falcon lugs and the stays are definitely brazed to the dropouts.

Looks like a steel frame with painted lugs to me. Note how the stays are attached to the rear dropouts.
Tom beat me to it. Here's a pic of one of my Falcons:

Thanks T-Mar, and Hudson308 your picture makes things clear. Yeah, the color on the tubes and then the lugs left unpainted (?) led me to wonder.
By the way if there are interested collectors this bike is on auction at Goodwill.com, though sadly they didn't post any pictures of the drive side so only a guess at components.

Looks like a cottered steel crank, center pull brakes, not a top of the line bike. The frame may have three straight gauge 531 tubes.
