Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Graphene

So what was Vittoria thinking with this graphene stuff. My go to all around tire for best balance between durability and ride has long been the Vittoria Rubino Pro 3. They roll reasonably well, never flat, and last almost forever. It has now been discontinued in favor of newer Rubino Pro versions with graphene. According to Rollingresistance.com, adding graphene to the mix has increased rolling resistance and weight while decreasing punture protection. So that would imply they have replaced a great tire with something not as good. What am I missing?

It may just be marketing.

Also, I've noticed in the past that website never touches the question of tread life. Any improvements there, they will not catch.

I suppose thats true but improvements there would be an accomplishment..Pro 3s were very long lasting tires.
