Brooks tool bag
I have a Brooks B67 saddle and I love it. The other day, I saw someone commuting with a Brooks tool bag. This is the first time in years that I saw someone using Brooks tool bag. My question is why? You would think as great as their seats are you would find many other using the tool bags. Does anyone use their tool bags and if so, why and how does it hold up?

It's hard to justify a tool bag that costs 10x more than the tools I would put in it. On the other hand, there are cyclists with bikes that cost more than 1000x their average speed in dollars.

I love my Brooks B -17 saddles (on three bikes) but wouldn't buy a Brooks tool bag. Very expensive and no more functional than other tool bags that are much cheaper. Function over form for me, but not for everyone. They do look great and are about as stylish as bags come. Proof . . . You noticed and felt compelled to comment.

I bought a small Brooks Challenge saddle bag once, but found that it swayed too much and held too little. Sold it on eBay at a small loss and renounced my "dandy" ways forever after.

Detroit Cargo also has some nice classy looking leather tool bags. Also spendy, but they look a bit larger than the Brooks, and more colors.

I like the looks of the brooks bags but like others I can't justify the it costing more than it is carrying and then the extra worry of how fast it will be carried away.
