The truth about Shimano
I was reading about some popular conspiracy theories yesterday when I suddenly realised one about Shimano. Everybody knows that GMC and Chevrolet are the same company, GM. They (in my opinion) do this to gain a wider customer base to make more money by giving more "selection" on vehicles that both companies make. An example of this is the Chevy Suburban and the GMC Yukon XL. I think the same thing is going with Shimano and SRAM. Shimano owns SRAM, they just try to not make it obvious. But I (being the observant genius that I am) can clearly see through this ruse. SRAM supposedly stands for Scott, Ray, and Sam. In reality, it stands for Shimano, Ruler of All Machines. If you control the machines, you control the people. They, along with Google, want to take over the world, one bike and computer at a time. You may be surprised to see that I mentioned Google, but it makes total sense. How else could Shimano create an electronic groupset? Shimano, along with Google, have dark plans for the world. By using the SRAM groupset aka covert operation codenames, you learn that they plan on making the entire world communist (Red). They plan to crush any uprisings or rebellions (Rival) by using destructive methods (Force). Then, they plan destroying the human race and creating a "master race" (Eagle). If any have read Michael Vey, this makes sense. https://www.greatexpectations.org/Web...%20Chicken.pdf If you are wondering about Campy, they just did their own thing. I personally use Suntour. (Just to be clear, this is all a theory. If this is actually the case, I'll eat my cycling shoe.)

1st they made Fishing reels, they still do Homepage / its an island & they love fish.
SRAM got into the most lucrative market segment , OEM build in the factories , by filing a Lawsuit vs Shimano , in Court.
their outside sales people 1st came to bike shops with a rather overpriced product..for the aftermarket..

so there is more than one way Shimano owns SRAM?

Just for fun I googled Tourney derailleur and Dura Ace derailleur. The lowest price I could find for Tourney was $8.79. The highest price for Dura Ace was $498.00. That's 56 times more and they both do the same thing.

I can find no indication that Shimano owns SRAM. But SRAM OTOH has bought up several other companies such as Avid etc.
