Advice for Hybrid
hi, I did some research finding a good hybrid bike for my needs and I ended up to these three models
Specialized Bicycle Components
The New Rapid 1 by Giant | Giant bicycles / Giant bikes UK | United Kingdom
https://www.scott-sports.com/us/en/p...x-20-Men-Bike/
what is your opinion about these bikes ?
Thanks.

1) Giant
2) Specialized (best looking one though, in my opinion)
3) Scott
Now go see if you can find them locally and test ride each one...

I don't see Rapid on the USA web site but between the Giant and Specialized I think this a coin flip with one big exception. I am not a Shimano expert but I am fairly sure the Giant's shift gear is a solid notch up. Personally I think the Scott looks cool but I would rule it out right away due to lack of disc brakes and it also a step down in shift gear.
Not to disagree with Andrei but I like the looks of the Giant every bit as much.
Roughly two months ago, I narrowed my own search down to Giant Fastroad SLR1 and Sirrus Comp Disc. I picked the Giant.
Pending test rides, between these bikes I vote Giant.

get thee to a Bike shop, test ride each..
any are all adequate .. all are imported (unless you are a Taiwanese resident )
Giant made other brands before Also developing their own importer dealer networks .
Its How they got so Giant, Contract manufacturing.

Good specs for a flat-bar road bike.
You can't go wrong with either one - for people who want to ride fast and be comfortable, its the ticket.
There's no need to be hunched over like the big boys if you're not set on winning the Tour de France.

I found only the giant fastroad slr1, the local distributors(Greece) said to me that they are waiting the new models of sirrus 2016 and rapid 2016 to arrive in September.
About fastroad slr1 is it ok the new saddle d-fuse ? I am 1.78m tall and I think M/L size would be fine.
what do you think?

My advice would be not to get a hybrid. I commute daily on a hybrid because it's what I have and wish I had a drop bar road bike at least for the different had positions. A hybrid in my experience isn't the both of both worlds.....it just sucks at both. If you are riding on the road get a good quality used road bike. Learn from my mistakes. If you are just cruising around for fun it could be a good choice.....but other than that I would stay away from them.

I was just adding my opinion for them to think about. I just don't like the one hand position. My hands go numb.
With the road bike you can set it up so it has a more upright riding position and relaxed feel. You don't have to wear tights and be a hardcore roadie to ride a road bike.

Thanks....I have bar ends though. They help some. I was thinking maybe the bike was too small for me.....but I tried the next size up and I couldn't stand over it without the top tube touching my crotch.
