Huret (flat end) shifter cable source
Looked online and it's not the price of the cables that cost money, it's the shipping. Obviously little need for the these days if our friends in China can't be bothered to sell them.
I have two now and hopefully they are serviceable but I suspect "someday" I will need some more so where does one get these? I'm told $5-10 a piece at bike stores. Any retail outlest that are a bit more reasonable???

Shift cable has a barrel end small enough for the tiny Simplex shifters. Other end is flat end will work easily for Huret. Brake cable a road end and a BMX end, so you can go either way there too.
You just literally cannot go wrong... unless you don't want black housings, but you can chuck them at this price. And yeah, everything you need for brakes and shifters $9 shipped.
I've been sharing these here for years, but I think people must think I'm crazy for using them. They're perfect for French stuff.

Thank you all! I shall make some purchases.
I have to say I am now officially unhappy with Huret shifters. Not liking the sideways cable mounting. Prefer Shimano or Campagnolo. Have to remember they are 50 years old...

It's definitely a little quirky to work with, getting the install just right can be a bear. Have dealt with it every time a 70's Raleigh Record or similar has passed thru my shop, they always have the long-stem shifters with Allvit rear mech. I'm not a fan of cabling them up, you need to get the cable just right on the lever ...
