Longer coats for cycling

Does anyone know of any longer coats that work OK for cycling? Like mid thigh. There are lots of semi packable raincoat/windbreaker type coats for women, but most of them have zero stretch and don't have long enough sleeves, not to mention they lack breathability. There are also some nice longer softshell coats out there but they tend to be really heavyweight. I've seen a few thinner softshell hoodie type things around that would be perfect if longer.

I think, generally, cycling tops aren't that long. do you have cycling or similar pants?

Typically people don't sit on their coats while riding the bikes which will limit the designs somewhat.

There is a group of products called "Cycling Ponchos" or "Rain Capes" which are designed to more or less drape over the rider.

The photos often don't show it well, but if worn in heavy rain, they're likely most comfortable with a bike that has full fenders.

I've ridden in a very long coat, halfway down my calves. But it's not ideal.

Oh, also if you have long, floppy clothing, also consider fenders, chain guards, step through, and SKIRTS on your bike.

Ya'll are thinking too long. A mid thigh jacket really isn't long enough to cause any problems if you don't sit on it. Unless you have a very upright riding position and only a few inches from your saddle to your rear wheel.

I am trying out one of these Columbia "pine orchard" coats. It's kind of a long stretchy windbreaker and I think it's pretty fashionable as well. I like it, it's definitely packable enough to shove in a laptop bag as an afterthought I think.

What bothers me so far: No way to stow the hood. No thumbholes on the sleeves. Pockets are not zippered. The hood impairs visibility too much to use. No reflective accents.

I really like how it covers some of my thighs. I just wear normal leggings when I ride, no shorts so something like this works pretty well for me.

Leggings? Legs are cold? How about something warmer on your legs? They make cycling pants even winter cycling tights you might like?
