Bianchi Info request

Hello BF - I did a restoration on this Bici II. An interested buyer would like me to answer the following three questions:

1. Italian or Japanese made. (Has Bianchi stamped dropouts)
2. Likely year of manufacture? Can one tell from serial number?
3. Component quality - My understanding is Suntour ARX was a good quality mid level component group that played above its supposed skillset
(just below Cyclone?)

Any information is appreciated.

I don't think he was calling my questionsstupid, as they are not my own because I am the seller. I do find the questions a little tedious myself. Suntour ARX is pretty good stuff. What potential buyer actually asked was how much did the components cost? That one made my eyes look to the ceiling. I get that for sentimental reasosns people usually want their Bianchi to be Italian. Unless they know about the quality control of Japanese made bicycles ... But a seller has to play by the buyer's rules. No offence taken.

Moderators removed the insult.

ARX tended to be early to mid 1980s.
BB stamp was funny. And I have to do a better job around BB apparently .

Japanese built, Canadian market, Bianchi Bici II, circa 1984. Upper entry level model, bordering on lower mid-range. Typically seen with a carbon-manganese main triangle mated to hi-tensile stays and forks. Serial number may be on lower, non-drive side of seat tube.

Edit: brake levers appear to be replacements.

That's what I thought. Found serial number exactly where you said. Thanks @T-Mar!

Serial number for Bianchi is first pic. Also added serial number for Centurion Lemans in second pic.

(mentioned in previous thread but was not mobile enough to look at the time).

The Bici II is slighter later than I thought. It's actually a 1985 model but the serial number format confirms Japanese manufacture.

Yes. I picked up the bike with a flat bar and mtb levers. Replaced with a Japanese drop bar and aero levers that I had in my basement shop.
