Any different types of dropout/derailleur protectors? (dropout supporter?)

I have a bike with super thin simplex dropouts. The derailleur hanger seems to get bent on a semi regular basis with city riding.

I've seen bikes with stainless steel plates over the dropouts and hangers. Obviously they are attached, but does anyone know where I can get something like that? I think a couple mm of stainless steel might give it enough support to stop getting bent every other day.

Well, it is bent or it isn't.... If it is getting bent, how does it happen and how do you straighten it?

Those are actually pretty sturdy forged steel dropouts. Why is the hanger repeatedly getting bent? Find a way to prevent this from happening.

Not pretty, but a possible way to strengthen the dropout would be to take an old school derailleur claw hanger and mount under the QR skewer.

Hate to see what would happen after to many cycles of straightening the hanger.........

It would take a hard crash to bend that.
Perhaps it's cracked.
Clean it and look closely for cracks.
