34 miles, sunny, 55 friggin degrees. I had to shed my base layer at the MIL's condo. I'll recall this day when we probably have a foot of snow in March.

25 miles in 25 degrees F. Somehow seems fitting.

Low cadence hill intervals today. 1 hour total ride time. Very efficient.

60 degrees, sunny and I haven't been outside riding in months, but all I wanted to do when I got home was sit in a quiet dark room because of the pounding sinus headache I have from this cold.

"WIND" Got in 25 miles but the wind was insane!!!! 40-50 mph gust's, still warm at 60F+, at one intersection, luckly I was in a "bike lane" cause the gust was so hard, I couldn't go forward, even in low gear!! Finally it let up and I took off, LOL, that was something, finally got back to the apt., quite tired and windburned!! Suppose to SNOW on Sunday, Rats!

I decided on walking, given those winds - which we had here also.

Rode my Ciocc on the ol' wind trainer for 35 minutes after work. Did three sets of four minute intervals. Covered 9.51 miles and drank beer afterwards.

Had a great ride...until a Jeep Cherokee with an inattentive driver decided that she needed to make a left turn more than I needed to go straight through the intersection. No harm to me but Kabira, my trusty steed for ~ 3 years may need some serious repair.

Took my bike out yesterday for a quick 10-mile ride to test out the new chain, plus a return to an old seat. It was 40 degrees, and I thought I could get out between showers. Wrong. Rain and wind, and it was the coldest I've ever been on a bike. My tights were soaked through.

Here's a rainbow picture that my wife took just before my ride:

Nope. Spending some quality time with my grandson at Broward General Med Ctr. Although he's 18 mo in remission, anytime he has a fever over 101.5, it's into the hospital for 3 -7 days. They don't take any chances. All the tests (pneu, flu, etc.) have come back negative, so it's just some bug. He has a fever and a cough (When he coughs you can tell it's a "sick, phlemy" cough,) but I don't think he has coughed more and 12 times in the past 24 hrs.

He's feeling fine right now, in fact he has been acting quite normal the whole time. He still spikes a fever now and again, but we're haveing a great time playing video games, drawing, etc. Honestly, as much as I live biking, I'll take this every chance I get, esp when he is feeling well.

I did get in a nice 28 miler yesterday . https://ridewithgps.com/routes/289152
Had to deliver some products to a customer and I knew I would not be riding for the next several days.

One hour climb in zone 2-3 with 2000' steady elevation gain. 1.5 hours total. With two nice days of weather left in the week I might actually get a decent week of riding done.

Was able to squeeze in a little 16 mile jaunt before work today. Wasn't prepared for how warm it wound up being, so I was overdressed & sweaty. Got suckered into a CAT6 race with some commuter...why do I bother?

I made some changes to the Specialized yesterday. It just hasn't felt as "comfortable" as the Litespeed. Road Bike Action mag had a good article in the latest issue (April, page 102) so I compared both bikes and adjusted the Specialized where I could. Did 31 miles today. Must nicer ride after the changes.

Volunteered at our church for some digging. lots of exercise and I am sore, but I need the core muscles to work too. Painting the fence around the playground and needed to dig the sand away from the fence to remove the fence sections. I will feel it tomorrow.

6 miles this evening in windy 60F dry conditions. Still the odd piles of dirty snow hanging around.

Nice little 10-miler after work - dusk/twilight ride - to shake off the day's crud. Glad the days are getting longer (and warmer).

First decent day above 50 degrees since Jan 1st. Didn't know what to expect with 47 days off the bike. But surprised my self with 16 miles. Not pleasant, but could still walk after the ride. Warmer day on Friday, will do it again.

Not today, not yesterday, and probably not tomorrow! Still in the hospital with my grandson. The dr just left. All tests still neg!! Tyler has a very small and infrequent "chesty cough" but his lungs are clear. No nausea or sneezing, etc.

He said if no more fevers today, we go home tomorrow.

Love that vit D!

Rode about 35 miles in forty degree weather with plenty of sun. A strong westerly wind of 15 to 25 mph provided a little extra challenge at times. Total ride time was about 2.5 hours. The snowpack is almost completely gone and I hope we see only a small amount of snow from this point on.

Yes! It wasn't a long, or a fast ride, but it was fun to be out on a 58* afternoon in Feb. There is one drawback with such warmth in Feb - puddles, lotsa' puddles.

I'll spare you the photo of the skunk stripe up my backside.

7 miles-windy but warm (44f) relatively speaking. 1st time on the bike in a month.
