I really need to carry a camera with me. Today i rode a short 20+ miler that had e on the local roads and the White Pine MUP. The sun was shining brightly and the colors are turning. It was so beautiful that I did not want to come home. Drat!

22 yesterday and 19 today.

Not much compared to most of the other riders posting, but pretty good for me.

He caught some flack for his post about firearms and riding. I hope it didn't turn him off. Our 2nd amendment rights can be a little touchy sometimes.

I'm recovering from a cold but returned to commuting today. It was a bit more tiring but I'm glad I rode. Temps in 70's - 80's - a bit warm for my wool jersey but not bad.

Sheesh. As I recall, he only wanted to humanely put doomed critters that he comes across often out in the country, out of their misery...

I hope he comes back.

36 (s)miles solo today, as is the Tuesday custom. https://ridewithgps.com/trips/2602

Culminated the ride with a routine Dr visit. Checked A-OK! 7 yr cancer survivor.

Got lots of strange looks from the other old fogies in the waiting room. Don't know if it was my strange attire or my sweaty body!

High 80s when I left at 5 pm. Shunned the group ride because I had to write an offer at 7:30.

33.9 flat miles in 1:52, avg. 18 mph. Despite the headwind for the last 12 miles I hammered this ride, knowing I had a deadline. Arrived home in time to wash up and meet the clients and do my thing with time to spare.

5 mile commute home in a pre-dawn drizzle. Traffic seemed heavier than normal and the drivers were buzzing about quite franticly. It didn't feel too safe out there this morning...hoping the evening commute back to work is more sane.

Nice photo, where is that Mup. I lived in Rockville many moons ago. I don't think they even had any trails in those days.

Went for a ride today on a 21 mile route that I have done at least a couple of hundred times. Today was unusual because I not only saw a couple of dogs that were in a place where I have never seen one before, I got bit by the small yappy dog while keeping my eye on the big, loud dog. The thing must have had a Napoleonic complex. Fortunate that the owner was out in her yard screaming at the dogs trying to control them. It gave me an opportunity to ascertain that the dog had had his shots. She was pretty freaked that I had gotten bitten but given that I have survived much worse, I couldn't get to excited. I was, however, grateful that the remainder of the ride provided no greater adventure.

Today I thought I'd test the ability to commute to a firm with whom I'm going to be interviewing. It's around 10 miles each way, a bit hilly in spots for a newbie like me. Going there was pretty easy as the 20 mph wind was mostly at my back.

Coming home was a bit more difficult. The last hill nearly did me in. I had to go down to the small front sprocket.

Uneventful 5 mile commute to work this afternoon. 16-23 mph winds, but bright and sunny and the drivers seemed much more sedate than they were this morning.

I didn't ride today, but rode a slow and easy 15 miles yesterday. Took me an hour and a half from start to finish, 10mph average speed. I should be all energized up for a ride tomorrow.

Jim ,
This is a new Rail Trail they opened this year that goes from White Plains Md. to Indian Head Md. It is 13 miles long. It is 5 miles from my house and I use it mostly from the far end to get back home from my daily rides . I usually turn off before the end/start to add miles to my ride so I ride about 7 miles on it.

The deer are everywhere. In this picture the clump of bushes in the top right of the pond is a bever dam, I have not seen him yet though.

There was light rain when I got home from work yesterday, but I rode anyway, doing 25 miles on what I think will become my regular after work route, which had to change because I moved to Crowley, Tx. Ride report here.

I rode today... decided to ride to work on Venice Boulevard, Los Angeles. Not a bad ride. Started at 0500, got to the shop in downtown at 0615. A good way to start the day.
