Small bag for top of rear rack?

I am interested in having a small bag of some sort on the top of my rear rack, for the occasional bike errand, but bag should be semi-permanent (KIS).

Not too big, just enough for, say, a half-gallon of milk, as an example.

Looks do not matter to me, and, in fact, I should have gotten a homemade solution by now, but I am drawing a blank.

Suggestions, including homemade?

EDIT to add: I guess the proper term maybe "trunk"..?

The Topeak is very nice, and ought to be for 95 bucks.

I've been using a Bontrager trunk, it's bigger than you describe, expandable and has side pockets. However, smaller models are avilable.

Since my late-night OP, I have found a Blackburn online, with similar features and maybe a tad smaller than pictured here.

Still thinking it over.

EDIT: I think I once saw a series small fishing gear hard cases at West Marine. That could work too.

Not trying to persuade you in any direction.. but what I do is throw my everyday/carry stuff into one of those cheap drawstring backpacks.
I just drop it into the trunk and leave the trunk fixed. It makes for easy in/out of home and office for me.
