Men's Cycling Tights

Anyone have any knowledge of this brand of tights?

RION Mens Cycling Tights -

STEED-GA Men Padded Tights

I can`t post a URL because I just joined.

I`d like to use them in the winter, combined with another layer.

The tights I use now have a large foam pad. It seams to cause chaffing. The pad in the RION tights looks like it would not.

That`s the problem made with my current winter tights.

When I got them they looked great. PLENTY of padding, but after riding I got Chaffing in the Crotch!

TOO much foam padding, and Too much Forward!

For 30 bucks on Amazon might as well bite the bullet and give them a shot! Let us know how they work! I am looking for some winter tights as well

If you're sensitive to pad chaffing maybe you should get regular tights and add a liner that's more comfortable?

Generic running tights (from Dick's/Big 5/Sports Authority/etc) over good bibs > questionable Amazon tights.

dont waste your money on those cheap tights , get the basic pearl izumi shorts brand or better.

what works for me is a quality cycling shorts first layer
optional second layer is a nylon-ish walmart baselayer , or any cheap 10 to 15 dollar base layer
12 dollar walmart thermal winter tight base layer
another skin tight layer for aero .

i usually buy all these tights and winter base layers on sale or on clearance for 6 bucks or less ..

if you play around with it depending on the temp you will have a better set up than those cheapo thights , PLUS you can use the shorts year round and the tights for other activities .

but my opinion is never sacrifice comfort for the aero look in winter , if you are not training for a race or ride event , what is the point of the aero tights , just wear things that will make you comfy and happy ..

Not a whole lot of difference except for the chamois. Although some cycling specific tights do sometimes have more reinforced knee stitching.

Well............so far these do the trick!

They`re warm, fit nice, and have a nice padding in the crotch! I`ll probably buy another pair.

Have you tried , Przewalski Men Bike Pants, Long Thermal 3D Padded Cycling Tights Leggings Brushed Fleece Breathable?

I`m hoping to get at least a couple of years , or actually winters, out of them. I won`t wear them during the year, just in the winter.

Like others mentioned above...I also wear my nice, comfortable (padded) shorts as my base layer. Depending on the temp, I may or may not use and insulation layer of something light, followed by an outer aero/tight layer. Which I will admit is a pair of my wife's old yoga pants. They became too stretched out for her liking...perfect for my use in the winter on the bike.

Here`s an update on my

Przewalski Men Bike Pants, Long Thermal 3D Padded Cycling Tights Leggings Brushed Fleece Breathable (New)Very warm

They worked out great!
Very warm , with nice padding.

Only complaint is after numerous washings, they might have had some shrinking.

I will buy these again, buy I will go a size larger.

Over all , for the price , they`ve worked out great.

I used to get tights and shorts with thicker, cushier padding. A number of years ago I some Gore shorts, and then tights, that had a thinner, less loft padding for the liner. I quickly realized that they worked a lot better than the thicker pads. Not as much shifting of the pad while riding and a whole lot less rash and saddle sores. I still use Gore and have also added some Pearl Izumi and Louis Garneau. They all have the lesser is better, for me, type liner. I like bibs but they can be a pain in the back end for adjusting the jewels and emptying the bladder.

Use Body Glide and you won't have chafing.

It's available at any sports store, running store, REI, etc.

Noxema is a cleanser. It isn't designed to reduce friction.

Be careful about what you put on expensive cycling garments. Some products can damage the fabric. Petroleum jelly/Vasaline for example. I would never put that in contact with expensive bib short.

Body Glide isn't your only choice. It is extremely popular and won't damage clothing.

Starting my second Winter on these.
So far they`re working out fine.
l`ll by them again, but like I posted last year, will probably go one size larger.
Warm, Nice Compression, Nice Pad.

I`m still tempted to try NOXZEMA Medicated Cream .
I don`t see, by it`s ingredients , that it would not wash out of clothing in the wash.

I don't use any creams, I seem to be fine without it. But I have never, like, ridden across Australia or anything.

As for quality tights, I can highly recommend Sponeed and Santic. They are every bit as well-made as my expensive ones. Tremendous value. I have learned that I do not have to spend $270 on a set of bibs to get decent quality gear.

I've found that any lubricant can work. I've used Vaseline, A&D ointment, hemorrhoid ointment, etc. They're all fine. Just wash your hands after you apply.

Because Noxzema is used as a face wash, I'm sure it would wash easily out of fabric.
I'm not sure if A&D Ointment will totally wash out of fabric?
