Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Building a new ride and I prefer not to have any logos on my stem, handlebars, or seatpost. Any recommendations? I checked easton and ritchey to no avail.

The imprints on the aluminum Ritchey Comp seatpost come off really easily with acetone. I left the front and rear markings on, just got rid of the ugly side markings.

Same here. Unless the parts are laser engraved, acetone or Goff Off makes the logos pretty much wipe off with a paper towel. I'd avoid using it on carbon of course.

Kalloy Uno stem, $25 on ebay, logos come off easily with acetone. Lightweight and strong.

The Ritchey stems are paint over anodization, so you can just strip the paint and leave the satin black behind. I've done this to two stems. Shimano PRO logos/markings come off easily with acetone.

Thomson is big on laser etching, so you're kinda out of luck there. The upside being that their logo is really small, and usually just says "Thomson."

Another acetone user for my black stems. The stuff would work just fine on my Ritchey seat post and handlebars too, if i wanted.
Ive done it for my stems because i dislike the logo design.
Its the same stem as mentioned in the thread- Kalloy Uno Superlight 7. Its lighter than any aluminum stem i found from other brands while also less expensive. $25 gets you any length from 60mm to 120mm on ebay. here is an example, but there are tons of sellers. https://www.ebay.com/itm/KALLOY-UNO-...-/122072788324

All have been well finished and accurate for weight. 30 seconds of acetone rubbing makes them completely black.

I have a 3T stem where the logo is just paint. Comes off easily with Goof-Off.

Yeah those parts look good and wouldn't hesitate to use them on a build. I have a Service Course (non SL) 0deg seatpost that I rather like - light too. I'm sure the SL level is even nicer. The only nit I notice is the use of torx bolts on the stem - but that is nothing a different multi-tool or carrying a spare T_ key couldn't remedy.

Thank you,

its more adventure-y-relaxed geo, you could gravel it. Steel, setup for etap, so only internal cable is for the rear disc. Its going to look incredible all black out.

There's loads of clearance for tires on that fork, what about the frame?

Nice color.
Fillet brazed frame? What's the fork...doesnt look like an Enve...is it a Whiskey?

Curious why you went with QR for the rear. Not criticizing at all, just genuinely curious since it bucks what is currently popular.
