Marlin 7 2018 vs. 2019

Looking to get a Trek Marlin 7 and one of the LBS's has a 2018 model for about $90 cheaper after taxes. Anybody know the big differences between the 2 years besides the internal cable routing? As of right now the orange 2019's are sold out in California so I'll have to wait. Also, I'm a beginner so I'm still up in the air about what bike I want, going with Trek because I was approved for their credit card (dumb reason but I was already leaning toward Trek to begin with). I won't be riding a ton of trails but I'd like the option to...I've also been looking at a Roscoe. Any advice would help since I don't know whole lot as of right now. Thanks.

Did the LBS not know the differences? I always encourage to buy as much bike as you can afford.

Actually I forgot to ask, I just asked what would be a good entry level bike and the guy showed me the Marlin.
