Will a 3x9 speed front derailleur works with a 3x7?

Hello,

I'm in a process on converting my single speed to a 3x7. I done the freewheel/cassette and rear derailleur. The only front derailleur I can find is Shimano FD-M371-3. Will it works with a 3x7?

Also the reason why I don't do a 1x because I want the full experience of a geared bike.

You can't find a Tourney?
A 9 speed FDER will have a narrower cage and be more prone to chain rub.
