What road bike do you have?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Just picked up a Y66 identical to yours on a trip to Florida. Paid $500 and it was 9 out of 10 in condition. It is set up with tri bars but everything is original, I installed new chain, cables, housing and bar tape. It's a conversation starter.

This is my most recent, after just having a hybridized mountain as my only bike for a few years.

Just got a Cervelo R3 DI2 from Excel Sports on their sale. Some great deals to be had for sure. Pulled the stock wheels and replaced with some Flo 60s from a buddy. I’m waiting on new stickers from Flo to replace the Red accents on the wheels with all black. Also swapped the stock saddle for an Arione and put some Speedplays on it. Have carbon Cervelo bars and stem on the way to finish the build. 50th birthday present to myself. Looking forward to many miles of enjoyment. Edit: changed The decals on the wheels

Nice Allez. Good reviews. I rode a Sora groupset when this model came out and liked it a lot. Then they had the fork recall so I had to change direction on my purchase. Like the fade on this one.

I am really liking it so far. I read about that recall, as when I bought this bike there was a rebate so I got nervous but the recall was for 2018 models. Got a good deal on the bike and so far so good.

For now... this is what I'll begin this season riding. Later this summer I'll likely replace the cassettes with an 12-30t 6700 and maybe a DA 7950 50/34 crank.

2006 Fuji Roubaix SL with DA 7800 components and an Ultegra, 6600G wheelset. Weighs 17.54 lbs.

I run the same pedals on my road bike, easier to clip in and the shoes are easier to walk in. I've noticed no difference in power transfer or performance from SPD-SL pedals (used those on my last two road bikes), can still sprint and climb just the same.

My first good road bike (well, it’s good for me). I kind of wish it had a carbon fork. Other than that this is working out great for me after just 140 miles. So fun to ride! Just getting into road cycling

Just dipping my toes into the road bike end of things, have had mountain bikes for years, so I figured an inexpensive used bike might be a good start, just picked up an old Apollo from my swim coach, needs a really good clean, service and setup, but looking forward to getting out on it.

This is after a few hours of taking things apart, shining them up and putting back together. Everything cleaned up really nice, even the brake levers, has some scratching all over and the ends of the pedals are pretty banged up, but it seems pretty good for an old girl.
I have put around 30km on it in the last 2 days and so far its pretty sweet!

Absolutely nothing wrong with your bike. If you ride and love it - it's a GREAT bike! Down the road you may want to or not want to upgrade it. And upgrade is all in your mind. If it works for you and you're happy - JUST RIDE!

2005 Giant OCR Composite 1

Picked this up last spring. Just got the matching aerobars last fall - never seen another like them - they attach to the stem. The stem is hexagonal so the mount won't rotate.

It's so much lighter than my previous carbon lugged 1996 Specialized Allez Epic.
