Amanda Coker and myself during her celebration party on the day she broke the Women's HAMR record of 29,607.3 miles in just four months. She's still riding and has until May 15th to end her 365 days of her HAMR attempt and as of today, she's well over 65,000 miles. I rode just over 30 miles with her on the morning she broke the record. I still ride with her from time to time but usually we're on the opposite ends of the loop.

Mr. Wizard the Lizard was an anthropomorphic lizard who wore a cone hat, robe, and pince-nez eyeglasses. He was the co-lead with Tooter the Turtle the Tooter Turtle cartoon.

Mine is a photo of the Prudential Center (“The Pru”), a 52 story building, taken out our living room window the night of the Patriot’s SuperBowl win. It replaced a similar view of “Go Sox.” The daytime view is of the same side.

I thought about entering a Cistercian (Trappist) monastery for some time and did spend some time at the monastery in Conyers, GA.

Might become an oblate some day after the kids move out.
Thanks.

Sorry to hear that. We recently (few weeks ago) had to take our 14 year old cat to the vet for the last time. She initially went from 13 lbs to 8.1 lbs. Took her to the vet and gave her medicine for liver and coughing up fluids. It didn't help. She then went down to 6.1 lbs and was skin and bones. The night before we took her to the vet she came to me and put her head on my shoulder and neck. I could hear her uneasy shallow breathing. I think that was her way of saying goodbye.

Avatar and screen name, all about the man, myth and legend. Met him when I was in high school and fell in love with his bikes, beautiful, expertly done no nonsense machines. A big part of it for me is that he was self taught and very quickly rose to the top. The avatar is the headbadge of JM027 that was his and now mine.

Let me know where your avatar come from. What was the motivation for the image? What do you like about it? I know its a bit ironic coming from a guy that doesn't have one. Looks like I'll have to get one at some point...
I was perusing through all things Cinelli and came across this page:
ITALIAN CYCLING JOURNAL: Cinelli
Scrolled down to the fourth image from the top. Then thought to myself, "Holy cow! I found iab's avatar! Its a hand drawing of Cino Cinelli!" It was a nice "easter egg" fo rme since I didn't know the origin for his avatar.

Ours apparently ate an amanita mushroom. Not a good way to check out. We spent about $5K trying to save her, but all it did was prolonged her agony.

Mine is the signature "1220" on my old Trek 1220. It was my first bike and was too large for me but I had so much fun on it. Foolishly, I sold it in near mint condition for a measly $100.
