Can't believe I've not been on here for years. Joined originally in 2002.
In those days I was living in Wales but now I'm lucky enough to be living in Southern Spain. I'm within 30kms of a great mountain range.
As a treat to myself when I moved out here I purchased a new bike. I went for the Orbea M30 and unfortunately I had to compromise on my love for Campag as I think their Centaur gruppo is ugly and plastic looking. So for the first time in nearly 30 years I have gone to Shimano. Info have some self respect though and I upgraded the wheels to Campag Ventos.
Hello to anyone who remembers me.

I didn't realize I made you my bike-fit person.
I don't know about you but after I rebuild my bikes and go out for it's FIRST RIDE, I ALWAYS make adjustments after. Besides, that's how I ride all my road bikes. I'm not in the aero position like you hard-core wannabes. Whatever is comfy for me is how I ride.
Now move along......

Try the Hot or Not section. That'll be your area. After years of trying to fit the "typical" road bike setup I realized my body did not work that way and not I have my bikes set up so they work for me, not for the viewing public.

1982 Nishiki Olympic 12
I have a 1982 Nishiki Olympic 12 with brand new gumwall tires, new bar tape, and everything else is original. It’s been a fun ride for the two years I’ve owned it so far, and I’ll enjoy it for more to come.

Closing this thread for a bit of cleanup. Let's try to play nice people.

Attention please
Whoa. I’m not sure when this thread turned into a critique thread, but it didn’t start out that way nor is it intended to be that way. This behavior of criticizing someone else’s bike is for the Hot or Not threads, not this thread. This thread is simply for displaying your bike: “Here, look, this is what I ride”, and it’s been that way for 16 years. No critiques allowed, and if a bike owner wants other opinions then feel free to start a thread somewhere else.
TL;DR - This thread is not intended for critique and arguing. We intend to come down very hard on individuals who misuse this thread.

Two beauties exactly 40 years apart. Blue bike is 1980 Trek 412 Ishawata 022 tubed frame equipped with Suntour six speed VX friction shifting, Dia-Compe brakes, SR Cranks and stem, and 27" wheels. Pink bike is a 2020 Project One Emonda SLR7 Force eTap AXS with full Bontrager treatment. Enjoy.

Bianchi INFINITO CV DISC ULTEGRA
I traded my Impulso 105 for this Infinito. Love those Bianchis!

In terms of the Cannondales, I have a System6 (original one) and they were the most expensive frames Cannondale had made to that point - it has a carbon main triangle with an alloy rear end. The first year they made them they left the bonded areas exposed, which led to corrosion and frame failure. Mine is from the second year they made them, the frame is a high mod, and fully painted so it has survived quite well. I think the System6 was too expensive to continue producing given the number of failures. The Six5 I think they just figured out they could just achieve their goals for that bike better with a full carbon frame, which led to the super six.
