Saddle security

I don’t have an expensive saddle, but I don’t want someone to take it. I replaced quick release on seat post with hex bolt/Pitlock pit stopper combo, and I secured saddle rails with Abus seat leash cable. Do I also have to worry about the hex bolts under the saddle, or just let it be?

you choose to worry ? Ok..

I noticed you say you live in LA.. can you find an industrial hardware store,
to buy security bolts for every bolt on your bike?..

(& will they even sell them to you)

With a Folding Bike you can take it inside with you, of course..

I just drill them, so an allen key won't bite.

Silicone or glue a ball bearing in the hex key holes as a deterrent

I noticed you didn't show it? But if its a road bike type saddle I wouldn't worry about any gangsters taking it.

I say, let them be.

I loop a short section of chain through the saddle rail and seat stay:

Well, sadly it's the kind of saddle that would appeal to certain crowd in LA. I think I will upgrade cable to a small Abus chain with hardened links, at least it can't be cut with a cable cutter. I have had bike stolen before, and I hate the concept of a cable, it's almost like using shoe laces.

My seat is where I need it. I have no reason to adjust it. But if i do, it'll take 20 seconds to drill the bolt. Then simply fit a new one. Its just an A2 M5x20, they cost like 50p.
Most of the bolts on my bike are drilled.

Yep, you've got the most popular saddle.

Also, having had bikes stolen, I've learned to think that way with ANY lock.

In dense, high-crime areas (e.g. San Francisco) there are thieves (often homeless) that carry a multi-tool and can break that chain and abscond with the seat in 20 seconds. And they know what a Brooks saddle is worth.

I wouldn't depend on this method if you have to leave your bike in a high-crime area.
