28h rear disc build, 3xDS/2xNDS
Looking to build a 2nd set of wheels for my CX bike. The first pair I built using the same brand of hub and rim, laced 32h 3x, resulted in 2mm of clearance between the NDS spokes and the rear disc caliper. This time the hub is 28h and I don't want to risk the NDS spokes rubbing the brake. Looking at lacing it 3x on the drive side and 2x on the non-drive side to ensure clearance. Thoughts?

I suspect the clearances differences will be rather small between 3x and 2x. Andy

Your lacing pattern is fine. The NDS spoke tension will be about 50% of the drive side so reducing the crossing won't have any real affect on durability.
