and very young for a heart attack for someone who was very physically fit. Hate to mention it but did epo and that kind of stuff contribute to this.

Not necessarily.

There's a new study that suggests people doing intensive amounts of sports over many years are more likely to develop heart problems.

Forty is pretty young for heart issues caused by too much exercise. That's more likely to hit in 50s and 60s, with a bad valve showing up then. My brother used to run excessively, and now at age 63 he has a pig valve. We don't want to believe bad things about our sports figures, but drugs are the more likely cause.
