Bigger tires for Trek FX 3
I just got my FX 3 Disc and it's great, but I want to upgrade the tires and go a little bigger. The bike came with Bontrager H2 Hard-Case Lite 700x32c. I'm hoping to go up to 700x38c, does anyone have experience doing this? If I did get the new tires, would they fit on the stock rims (Bontrager Tubeless Ready Disc, 32-hole, presta valve)?

38c tires will work on an FX. My wife’s FX3 has 38c tires on it with no rubbing issues.

Sounds similar to my FX carbon 4 - I'm putting on tubelss 35's, shouldn't be an issue if the frame allows it..........I think your wheels are the same as mine - I haven't measured the interior rim width but I called Trek and the customer service rep said it was 21 mm so it should take up to 40 or more......

I put on Bontrager H5 ultimate 700x38 on new fx 3 about three weeks ago and made a significant difference for me in terms of stability and performance on hard packed/light gravel trails, as well as roads with loose asphalt/debris.
