Does anyone have a folding bicycle that takes 700cc tires? If so what do you think of it? How convenient/easy is it to transport/assemble?

Never seen a true folder in 700c, Montague (spelling might be off) and its clones are typically 26" that I've seen and work fairly well for trunk transport. 700c you can get S&S coupllings or a Ritchey Break-away style. With cable splitters, threadless headset, and QR wheels I found that I could pack my S&S equipped bike in under 40min and unpack in under 30min. It wasn't overly convenient ig you only want it for ease of storage but it did make it easy to schlepp the bike to/from Eastern and Western Europe as well as Cyprus and some of the continental US. If something were to happen to my current non-folding frame I'd once again own an S&S bike.

There is the ChangeBike and the Montague.
For the ChangeBike, there are the 700c road bike version, 26" MTB version and 650b MTB version.
I have the 650b version because I think its more versatile (wide tire options and ability to change to 28mm slicks or 700c wheels for road riding)

The diameter difference between 650b with 28mm tires won't be that far off from 700c 23mm tires (or 38-42mm 650b vs 700c 28mm )
For road riding that difference in diameter is negligible.

On the folding part, the bike folds up rather fast (1min to 1min30s), in fact, it folds faster than my Bike Friday Pocket Rocket (super pro).
Another good point is that there is nothing left dangling or a separate wheel to hold on to after fold.
Handling it to get on trains is not a big deal and easy enough, though it will be a bit large after fold and subject to local train guidelines. (not a problem where I am)

Not folding but a series of modifications are done to make your favorite bike come apart conveniently,

& fit into a shoulder bag and get on the train in Japan,To go ride in the country side..

this is Rinko.. Bike Quarterly Publisher in Seattle Jan Heine is all over this covering it,

and has many subscriber- devotees doing this to their bikes.

I just don't happen to be one of those ..

If you want a 700c bike that can be packed smaller for travel, there are some non-folding options. Ritchey Break-Away is a frame that can be split to pack smaller. And S&S couplers are available on many different bikes that allow the frame to be split for packing. S&S coupled bikes can be packed into a case that meets the common 62 inch airline criteria. Ritchey cases are a bit bigger but most Ritchey owners will tell you that airlines rarely check the case dimensions, thus often Ritchey owners fly without an oversize fee for their bike.

A little late to the thread but the Montague Navigator is a true 700c folding road bike. I just bought one. 700c wheelset, 3x9 drivetrain.

Feels and rides like a normal bike and for the most part takes normal components.
