Pre-purchase Question - Canyon Aeroad Bike
Hi, I'm just about to pull the trigger on purchasing a Canyon Aeroad CF SL Disc 8.0 Di2. I have a question regarding the height of the integrated cockpit (one piece stem/handlebar combination) and haven't been able to find an answer on the website (and chat is unavailable). In the photos, the handlebars are extremely 'slammed.' Does anyone know if the bars can be raised with spacers?
Thanks,
Jim

I've seen them with spacers underneath that match the contours of the stem.
Different bike but same setup I'm talking about:

Don't know about the Aeroad, but my Ultimate CF SL Di2 DB came with quite a rise of spacers and a I'd estimate maybe 40-45mm of stem adjustability.

All Canyons ( and bikes, for that matter) come with spacers. Canyon lists the amount in the geometry table ( ~30mm I believe)

My Endurace came with 37mm - 3 x 10, 1 x 5, 1 x 2.

Just an FYI; they are supposed to have a redesign with integrated cockpit if you haven't followed that whole drama .....this has been going on for a long time and a lot of Internet discussion. I got tired of waiting and bought an ultimate ; love it and their customer service has been very good for me

Just an update - I finally got through to a Canyon rep and he confirmed - as you guys have said here - that the Aeroad comes with spacers up to 27.5mm. Incidentally, the experience was great - the guy was extremely knowledgeable and provided quick answers to all of my questions.

Hi, Pantani98,
Sorry I couldn't reply directly through you PM (I haven't posted 10 times yet so the feature is disabled for me). I got the bike on Thursday. I hear what you're saying about the frame size. My previous bikes have run towards a medium size. The stem size was a major concern, but I went with the 'small' size they recommended. The frame is just fine and, as others in this thread have very helpfully posted, the bike comes with spacers not seen in the photos on Canyon's website. I used all of them and have ridden the bike twice and found it generally comfortable though I am going to have to get used to a slightly shorter stem than I'm used to, but I think the small difference between what I used to have and what I have with this bike will be something I can adapt to in a relative short period of time.
