Wheels for 400lb. rider?
Hello! I purchased a new bike (Schwinn 700M Super Sport 3) 4 years ago, and really got into riding it the last 2 years. I would ride 20-30 miles a few times a week. When I purchased it, I asked the shop about my weight, and they said it would be fine. Well, I've popped 2 spokes and I'm worried about continuing to have to replace them. Are there wheels out there that will support my weight?

Velocity Chukker rims with 36 spokes. Don't buy these yet until you're sure they'll fit your bike. I'm assuming your bike takes a 135mm wide rear hub.
If you get a wheel like this, fairly inexpensive and probably made by machine, you should take it to a bike shop and have it tuned up - spoke tension is probably not well adjusted right out of the box.

I am just under 300 and I have the Velomine wheels which tyrion referred to, they were recommended to me here at bikeforums. You can also do a custom build with butted spokes and even stronger (and heavier) rims like Ryde Andra.
Tension the spokes appropriately.
