Replacement Battery Questions
I bought a used 36V Xtreme Baja folding bike. The 36v 10ah battery that the bike has, is no longer working. The battery fits inside the wide downtube so it can't be bigger than 10S4P. I say that because the old battery has 40 cells. Buying a replacement battery from the manufacturer or sending the case to Las Vegas for them to make a new battery, is not really good value. So I've been thinking of going with a UPP triangle or rear rack battery. Not sure I can put a triangle battery on securely because of the frame design but hesitate to have so much weight so high in a rear rack. Anybody have any comments or suggestions?
Anybody come across any other folks that are putting replacement batteries together?

good question.
Generally I hate putting a battery on the rear rack but that sounds like your best bet.
I only put one there in the old days when a 10s4p battery weighted 10 lbs, and that kinda sucked. But these days you should be able to get one between 4-5lbs and that could be manageable on a rear rack.

What type of connector does the controller have for the battery? All bike geometries are different, but I had a battery on a rear rack and the bike handled well for road riding. I tried putting the battery at various locations on the bike and the rear rack was best on that bike (IMO).
