Wool clothing suggestions Please!
I need to replace my current dry-weave clothing with Merino wool. Just looking for something that doesn't smell when using it 2-3 days before laundering. And hopefully keeping me warmer through the sweaty/wet episodes. I think I have the socks figured out, but need help choosing the jersey, shorts, pants, base etc. Whatever you have had good luck with. I prefer quality over cost savings when they butt up against each other. Maybe should have posted this in long distance section (the 2-3 day wear-without-washing part), but thought I would reach more people here. Thanks in advance.

I wash after every wear and so can't comment on odor but the Kitsbow Geysers 2.0 jersey is top quality, very luxurious and comfortable.
The same goes for anything from 7Mesh. Absolutely top shelf products.

I've got Icebreaker and Smartwool 100% wool clothes. Both are fairly comparable.
I've also got some 50/50 synthetic/merino Tees that I got from Mountain Warehouse on steep closeout. I prefer them, they dry so much faster, retain anti-stink, and still warm/cool like 100%.
This is just for base type stuff, I haven't splurged for merino jerseys (yet...)

Full wool jerseys are hard to beat for non racing application. I road through the Mohave in 115F with a long sleeve yellow one. I was just fine.

+1 for Icebreaker. I've also got some Endura BaaBaa gear which I rate but, as far as I know, BaaBaa stuff is only base layers and stuff like socks and beanies.

have been supremely pleased with the short and long sleeve merino wool rapha undershirts. ride 5-6k miles a year and wear at least one regardless of how hot or cold it is on every ride. i get about 2.5-3 years worth of use out of each one. granted, at this point, i've got 6 of their underlayers. no matter how soaked it gets from rain or sweat, they keep you warm. a true miracle material. not inexpensive at $85 (for the short sleeve-nonsale pricing) a pop but the best piece of clothing i own. period.

Another fan of Minus33. If you want a mix check out Lou @ foxwear. He will make you a custom long sleeve shirt out of Polartec's Power wool for $35. Excellent construction/sewing and service!

Try De Marchi Classica Jersey | High performance cycling jersey
A friend in the fabric industry swears by them. I have not tried.

I use a variety of different winter kit items in Minnesota not all of which are merino wool - but some are...
I use the Surly Merino wool jersey...didn't buy it at the linked retailers but at a LBS...not cheap or easy to find but with a coupon it has been a steal given how often I wear it. It is a bit over-size so worth trying on.
For base layers, I got a merino wool set from LL Bean for Christmas that's been awesome and my Endura Baa Baa gaiter is a brilliant piece of kit for riding here on the tundra....

I like a mid-weight sock from LL Bean. It's more of a longer sock for non-summer months/temps below 55F or so.
Ibex, unfortunately ceased production--it at least seemed the practices they used were a little more environmentally friendly and the material higher quality, perhaps making costs higher. I did order a 2nd balaclava from them though a while back in case I lost one and glad I did. It's more of a low to mid-weight balaclava and their products are still around online though I'm betting some is no longer able to be bought new.

Kucharik is the place for wool.
I even wear the long sleeve base layer for non cycling.

Thanks for all of the advice. After reading and going to each of the websites, I ordered a Ground effect jersey (short sleeve) and arm-warmers. I considered a long sleeve, but IMO, the torso and arms are two different "zones" and I need to address them separately. I also picked up a thin wool base layer top at the LBS (Specialized). I decided to concentrate on the upper body, as I really don't have concerns below the belt. (I'm not bragging). Just seems that the legs and such are not a concern with what I'm currently using. I'm sure winter and cold weather will give me plenty of opportunities to fine tune these initial selections and how they fit, alongside or replacing my present kit.
