Sunglasses for dry eye

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sunglasses for dry eye

I'm looking for a new pair of sunglasses. I'm looking for something that will block out much of the wind due to my dry eye and spring allergies. I am currently using a random pair of under armour sport sunglasses I got years ago. I also just got a pair of Tifosi Podium sunglasses to try out but these still don't do the job. Short of goggles, does anyone have suggestions for a pair of good sunglasses that will do the trick?

Bought these a week ago. I have the same problems with my eyes and allergies as you. These glasses work really good

Would love to hear any recs for this too. I end up incredibly congested and blowing snot rockets on the side of the road on every ride. I went from a cheap pair of Performance-brand glasses to only slightly-less-cheap Serfas Gladiators from the LBS. The Serfas are definitely better, but the problem isn't solved and my helmet interferes with the earpieces. Googling brought me to some things that are foam-rimmed, but not sure I need that much, just some glasses with a lot of coverage.

Anyone have any other ideas?

If you do not use a modern antihistamine eye drop, you should immediately consult your physician (ophthalmologist, allergist, general practitioner, even ENT) or optometrist to get a sample and prescription for one like Optivar, Lastacaft, etc. These are far superior to the old fashioned antihistamine drops which can still be obtained over the counter at the drug store (various brands). I use the old fashioned ones in between doses of the modern ones if I need a booster fix of protection in between the 12 or 24 hour dosage interval. Oral antihistamines do not protect the eyes from allergy symptoms, because the medication does not cross the barrier between the circulatory system and the eyes.

Unsure if your issues are related, but cold and wind would cause me to gradually lose my sight. Wiley X, with the foam padding around the lenses, ended up being a wonderful solution. One downfall is a little loss of peripheral, but when it's that type of weather, I'm not usually in a group ride setting.
