Shimano 9-speed MTB cassette
A couple of years ago I bought a used Giant XTC 4 mountain bike. On the whole this is in pretty nice condition and very adequate for me, given that most of my riding is on a road bike. However, given that in the current environment I'm not commuting I find I'm doing a lot more mountain biking and thought I'd give a bit of a spruce up.
The gears have never worked quite as well as I feel they should do. I took everything apart yesterday, cleaned everything up and replaced the chain. The cassette is a very bottom-end unit so I thought I'd replace it. Shimano obviously don't do a lot of 9-speed stuff anymore: the two that seem to be availalbe are HG400 and HG200, and it isn't clear whether one of these is higher end than the other. Can someone advise, please?
Thanks.

You don't need to buy from the US. You could just copy the model number and do a Google search for the UK.
Also here are the model numbers of the current production.
