Is this Campagnolo RD 8spd compatible?
Looking for an 8 speed Campagnolo RD and found this one. I know its more of a collectors RD but Im thinking if it works, Ill use it (the hell with it!).
Was under the notion it was only up to 7speed.
Any help is much appreciated!
Thank you!
Sorry! Realized I didnt upload the pic!

Almost positive that this is the one that works with the Synchro 2 shifters that needs the little insert.
Almost anything works with friction though, but have no clue what the range is on them.
I can’t find it on velobase though so hopefully more knowledgeable folks will arrive.
I’d go with the early Chorus or Record 8 speed guys. They are pretty solid with ergo shifters.

Are you looking to go with the Campy 8-speed brifters with that little guy? If this is C Record, I don’t think so. It’s not a dual parallelogram design.

1994 versions for Chorus, the Record might be 1993 or even 92...I think. 26 max low and 26 wrap total. However, most folks get more.
This is the Record (from Velobase)
This is the Chorus (also Velobase)

Here's a link to the op's rd:
https://www.disraeligears.co.uk/site...erailleur.html
That site shows the early C Record versions with the shield logo on the outer parallelogram plate and a spring at the b-pivot. Campy did away with that spring in later versions like the op's.

You'll want a Campy 8 or first gen 9. Later 9 speed had a different pull ratio. Late Sachs derailleurs should also work.
