Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Is it swimming, cycling, or running?

Though if the bank ever severed me I'd love that as a job.

It might be running for the dog.

Dogs hate me. I would get bitten if I walked dogs.

Yeah, but they'll get delivered at around 10am and you won't even be getting home until around 4pm. Sucks for you.

Yeah those bars are all wrong. As for the descending there's only one way to go downhill when Everesting on such a bike:

In the 90s I did a 33 mile Sunday loop, and yesterday I did 35.

I rode 35 miles yesterday, my longest since March, or February. I woke up feeling so good that I realize the mistake of curtailing my riding so severely. I just needed to get over that distance hump. And it is as the first time I rode that particular loop in almost a year. Such a fine loop to ride!

In other news, today is the 19th anniversary of our first day in Mexico, while on the way to Belize. We kept waiting for the bank next to the hotel to open. And then discovered it's a bank holiday. Dia de la Revolución.

I have a bike to finish building today, for delivery later in the week.
I'm really looking forward to not having boxes of extra parts anymore. And piles of wheels, some with good hubs, some with good rims, but never the two together. Now that spokes have become unobtanium, at reasonable prices, there is no longer any need to hang onto them.

I'm doing a similar thing in clearing out the bulky extra parts, like wheelsets, rims, and luggage.

I'll probably hang on to my collection of smaller parts, since at the moment that inventory can be stored inside a two drawer filing cabinet and it doesn't feel too excessive.

Plus the ones I would want to get rid of aren't worth the effort to sell, but still too nice to bin.
