1" (25.4mm) fork stem extender to raise handlebars

I'm looking for a fork stem extender (like the first two that come up if you search for "Handlebar Risers" on Amazon) but to fit a 1" rather than 1-1/8". Anyone know where I could get hold of one?

I'm looking to raise my handlebars by probably 4 or 5cm - I already flipped the stem over to gain a couple of centimetres but it's still quite low.

Stepped* steel tube stem raisers work with quill stems.. they're black 4130 & have their own quill bolt half way up.. * (bottom OD is top ID)
Your existing stem goes in the top.

Threadless ? European import (you order it from there) is the BBB BHP-20 it's a 22.2 quill with a center bolt whose hex socket head is internally threaded.
for moving headset preload to the top, + spacers included (to 1" like the fork OD) plus ones you buy to go under your threadless stem.

So if I understand this correctly...

You remove the cap and there is a hex bolt inside to adjust the wedge tight against the ID of the threadless steerer. That hex bolt head has internal threads so it now functions as an installed star nut preload the headset.

Do you know if any standard 1” threaded spacers will work?

Thanks!

You don't want to just get another bike of the correct riding genre and size so it doesn't look goofy? Probably not or you wouldn't have ask. <grin>

Have you considered riser handle bars? Some can give you that 5 cm you want. And they tend to not look as goofy!

Probably will look no more goofy than 6” of Nitto quill stem sticking out of a threaded headset. Or better yet, reversed road bars.

Height of bars for riding comfort, especially back, has zero to do with correct bike sizing.

the spacers are not threaded the're just a little over 1" ID to slip over the threaded steerer..
I Know a Machinist with a Lathe can make them for you , frame builders may do so as well. they may have a lathe too ..

I bought a BBB BHP 21, the 1" quill 9/8" OD steerer for threadless forks.
& a couple packs of Cane Creek's Interlocking Polycarbonate plastic spacers
to bring this stem up significantly.. lengthened hoses, etc. stacked 2 stems, a lower one for the bar bag mount.

Thanks!

I might order one and check it out. Not that I don't already have too much stuff I'll never use in the parts bins and bins.
