Just got the frame set a few months ago from the original owner. Frame is 60cm made in 12/1990. So a 1991 model I guess. Previous owner only put a few thousand miles on it. And took very good care. Very few dings in the paint and they are were they don't show. I'll be changing that though as I plan to ride the crap out of it.
Everything else is new. Shimano 105 5800 Cranks, derailleurs, brakes, shifters and hubs. 52/36 front and 11-32 back. Seems a little stiffer riding than my Raleigh Competition, but with less trail and a slightly larger frame, I feel better riding it.
Do any of you think it's the OS tubing that might be making me feel the road difference?
Not particularly fond of the newer style for the Shimano cranks. The old spiders looked more pleasing. Might bother me enough to change it eventually.

1984 Paramount Touring. Yes, I know it's too big, but it was in such good condition, that my judgement may have been clouded. I was able to lower the seat and use a shorter stem to make it fit. I just have to be careful when stopping. Once, I get rolling, the size is not an issue. It is currently disassembled, so I can search for a more suitable frame. I would love another one like it in a 58 or 60 cm.

Just took pics of my 1960. It's a repaint and nothing is original. Came to me as a fixed gear, so I scrapped everything except the headset and (maybe strangely) the Super Record brake levers.

Well since this thread has reappeared let me update it with how my one Paramount looks now. The '87 was passed on a couple of years ago. This pic was grabbed yesterday while I had it out on a 30 mile ride.
Had been running some Campagnolo Sirocco's on it but recently swapped to these even deeper Mavics. Also made some small component changes, better STI shifters, etc.
And it keeping with the Patriotic theme this is what I wear each time I ride it only now with a red, white, and blue helmet also.

My 1967, repainted and with 100% not original components with the exception of the headset. The drop bar shot is from a 2007 ride. The upright bar shot is how it is set up now, my commute/town bike. Some parts have changed, some have not.

1968 Schwinn Paramount
I have a 1968 Schwinn paramount tourist that I picked up that is pretty much all original. I have yet to rebuild it. I generally don't like mucking up a bike that comes with all of its original equipment but I'd like better gearing than I can get with a stronglight competition 55 crank. It's a beautiful crank with 45/50 rings. I could go half step with a 14-34 freewheel but I'm sorely tempted to run a half step plus a granny with a TA triple as I have the crank and BB. That will mean changing out the rear derailleur or at least adding a long cage to it. I know I want to run drops on this. I think with half step plus a granny and drops, this would make a fine "eroica" bike.

Interesting non-bike encounter this week in conjunction with a massive kitchen remodel. In trying to match prospective wall colors to the selected cabinet finish the bride came home with this paint sample.

Im reviving this Paramount thread showing my recent 73 p13 purchase.
This would be a dream bike to me when it was produced and I was 13.
Even throughout college, I never got one nor one of those Italian racing machines that were beyond my budget.
I have more than made up for those times now as an older rider.
Im also pleased to show it with the new era correct Hi-E Water Bottle Cage that I got from hazetguy thanks.
Only change I still want to make is the 52 / 49 chain rings, need a 44 or smaller for hills or showing off on a classic ride.
Maybe another kind BF'er will come thru again.
