This aluminum/carbon hybrid Six must have flopped because it disapeared after one year on the market, but I think it's a great idea; the best of both worlds. It's also a mix of 105 and Ultegra. It's stock except for a 260 gram all carbon seat/seatpost combo.

1986 KHS Fiero. I've had for 30 years. Fully updated 4 years ago except for original quill stem and handlebars. Shimano 105 5600 2x10 drivetrain, FSA Vero compact crankset, STAM Apex brake calipers. Shimano 105 5600 hubs, Rigida rims. Just a touch over 25 pounds, but still fun to ride.
2006 Cannondale CAAD8 R1000, was stripped when new for a carbon bike. I picked up the frame recently, literally never ridden. SRAM goodies, Red crankset, Force brifters, Rival FD and RD. Tektro brake calipers. DT Swiss Giant Edition wheelset... FSA Gossamer bars, Bontrager carbon seat post. Bike tips the scales at 18 pounds 5 ounces. I'm in this bike less than $200. With a newer, lighter wheelset, I'm sure I could shave that to mid 17 pounds. Not too sure where else I could shave weight. Besides, I'm in the 240s, this is the lightest bike I've ever had...

Great collection of bikes! I've always been curious when I see people with many nice bikes though. How do you decide what bike to ride and when? What are the deciding factors?

Then it’s a little more difficult to choose, I still love my Pina and it rides great, the Tarmac has 28’s so it’s a comfortable ride. The Venge is new to me so still getting it sorted but it’s good so far. I would say the Tarmac is the best in all conditions.

Crossposted from C+V. Replaced the criterium bars with a used set of Cinelli Giro d'Italias ($20, used parts shop), and the Campagnolo freewheel which came in an absurd 13-18 range (probably for criterium racing) with a Suntour freewheel in 13-24 ($5, co-op). Redid the tape as well. Brake hoods (torn, held on with velcro straps) are up next, and possibly a smaller crank because 53-42 is a little silly for Seattle terrain (that said, the 53 ring is extremely fun when going on tailwind flats). Oh, and a new Columbus decal too, since De Rosa liked to put them over the clearcoat for some reason.
Best thing about riding a steel frame around Seattle- there are so many awesome old steel frames here that it becomes an instant conversation starter when I see someone's Bridgestone RB1 parked next to this thing, hah.

Just grabbed up this 2018 TCR Advanced Pro 0 disc tonight. Half an hour using the DI2 and I was sold.
