So in the absence of a functioning trainer I was forced to go actually ride outside. It was actually kinda fun. You guys have been holding out on me!

I’m so lucky to have a place like this so close to my home in the big city. Rode up there early before it got too crowded.

Excellent advice. At our age we have hopefully learned a thing or two about caution.

I used to also be able to tell time by the changing of the seasons, but no more. #2020
Funny how one can find little crannies of "wilderness." There's a stretch of road on a route I do, about three or four miles from downtime. For half a mile or so going over the top of a hill all you can see are woods. You'd think you were out on a country road.

Haven’t confirmed, but I heard a police car was set on fire and the statue of late controversial Mayor Rizzo was attacked.

The island seemed to get a lot of business from cruise ships that would dock for the day. Both times I stayed at a hotel south of the center. There was a huge dock next door. Every morning at least one ship would pull up. Lines of taxis formed to take passengers into town. The funniest thing was that there was a daily afternoon booze cruise on a large pontoon boat. You could set you watch by its return to the dock to the sound of “Hot! Hot! Hot!”.
