Wanted Soft or low durometer 29er tires for winter riding, less aggressive tread ok

I am using my Gary Fisher 29er for the occasional winter ride. I have been looking for a soft rubber or low durometer tire that I can use in the mostly clear roads. I have a dedicated snow ice bike with nokian studded tires and Continental X Kings mounted on separate rims, but for the Gary Fischer I would like to find something with sticky tires that are not so aggressive and with less resistance. About all I could find was mud tires from Michelin called Wild Mud. They have a low durometer but have aggressive tread. This might be my only option but thought I would check if someone has other input.

I just don't get the thinking there. "mostly" clear roads with ice means...there's still ice.

The fastest rolling studded tire would be a debate between a 45nrth Xerces, or a Schwalbe Marathon Winter.

If you don't want studs, then probably the Continental Winter tire the previous poster mentioned.

You're looking for a race type tire. Schwalbe racing ralph maybe? Width looking for? Check out some Kenda or Maxxis too.

I got some Continental Top Contact Winter 700 x 37 tires a couple of years ago, pretty happy with them. They are quite low durometer. Only when things are pretty thick here in Denver do I need to break down and put a Schwalbe Winter 700 x 30 studded tire on the front.
