Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I have the multi-directional on my Hybrid and love them. Is the one-direction the way to go with fixed?

just one more thing that can go wrong when emergency skidding etc.

sounds a lot better with some redundancy (single toe strap).

Jeez I unclipped one time, I adjusted resistance and haven't since and I've done over 30 without unclipping. I use shimano spd too. I must be doing it wrong

I rode a social ride with Hold fast straps on SPD SLs one time trying to get used to getting in and out of straps/clip combo before going up to the Velodrome. It was pretty next level fixed gear dweebery.

not as hard to deal with as I'd thought though.

I've never once rode in rush hour traffic, my bike is used primarily to get likes on instagram.
