There is no single good shop. For best results, plug your search into www.qbike.com.

Nashbar and Harris. They seem to have the sort of stuff I need.
And I did find the 13-30 freewheel I've been looking for at niagaracycle.com

1 Nashbar, 2 Performance & then Supergo, PricePoint and JensonUSA. You do need to shop around. Once place might have a killer price on say a BB, but another one has a better price on say a cassette. FYI; Nashbar, Performance & Supergo are all the same corporation. In fact I've called Nashbar's Customer Service number and had them answer "Performance Bike!

In order of preference:

www.jensonusa.com
www.blueskycycling.com
www.universalcycles.com
www.pricepoint.com

Jenson, Bluesky, Pricepoint and I are located in Southern CA, so standard cheap-o ground shipping gets the product to my door in 1 day. I've never had a problem with any of the above. All are pretty no-nonsense places.

Universal cycles is in Oregon and Oregon has no sales tax. Also, Universal often has 10% off for order over $150. Good if you're buying some bigger ticket items, like those Li-Ion HID lights.

As been stated, I can't find a shop that always have what I want, so I tend to rotate the above four.

I believe all of the above "price match". Find a better deal and they should honor the lower price.

For another price comparison site: https://www.bestwebbuys.com/bikes/index.cfm

For online coupons, see link and find 10% off Nashbar:
whats_your_deal-dot-com (remove "_", for some reason, I can't get the link to this website to show)

Sounds interesting, keep us up to speed. With bike bits imports so tightly controlled through agency agreements here, it would be a fine trick.

Lickson's has a good selection of road bike stuff, at good prices, and a very knowledgable staff. They're a real bike shop, with older guys working there who've been around a long time. Kinda like Harris, though Harris has a wider selection. I also online-shop at Nashbar now and then.

I like the prices at Alfred E. Bike, but you have to call to order Shimano, but that's OK. However, I found an LBS here with prices about equal or less to most online places (before shipping is added at that)--plus he has stockpiles of NOS that I enjoy rummaging through.

Anyone here in Canada with a reccomendation?... I don't know if you guys have ordered internationally before, but buying out of the states from up here will cost more in customs than the stuff you order! I still remember paying 55 dollars in customs and brokerage fees for a $25 rear fender! OUCH!

There's nothing you can do about customs charges to Canada. There are a few on-line shops, like braun's cycle and mec.ca for some items. On-line shopping in Canada is still in the stone age, which is amazing since there are almost as many cyclists in Canada as all of the US.

One more Canadian online store to add, Cycle Therapy. Their Park Tool prices are on par with MEC. Their component selection isn't as large as Braun's.

I am looking for an out of province online retailer to save on the PST. I can't believe Quebec or BC don't have any, (that I've found).

I live in Canada and usually order from Nashbar twice a year. I have yet to pay duty on any of the bike parts I have ordered. You do have to pay the usual Canadian and Provincial taxes. Make sure you use ground shipment. Just pick it up at the local post office. No problem and great service.

Cycle Therapy's parts prices are really high: A Campy veloce cassette is US$74 in most US retailers ($85CDN), $150CDN at Cycle therapy (on sale!). La Bicicletta on-line has the same part for CDN$109.
A $34 lockring at cycle therapy is $26 at La Bicicletta on-line.

For anyone here in the UK, here are a few that I have used:
* www.cyclestore.co.uk - They have a fair range and good prices, but delivery can take a while
* www.merlincycles.co.uk - Again, a good selection fair prices and excellent service
* www.cyclesurgery.com - I'm a fan of this site, mainly for the service but everything else is very good too!

Any more that people in the UK use?

I've had great experiences ordering from Albe's.
They've got free shipping within the US, so I had it shipped to a recieving warehouse in Blaine Wa.
The duty on about $600 of parts came to $40, when I went over the line to pick it up.

I've ordered from CycleTherapy in Toronto (being that I'm in Ontario, Canada and they offer free UPS ground in the province). Good prices from them on Brooks saddles and their service is exemplary. Urbane-Cyclist in Toronto is another great one.

For most items, I've resigned myself to having to go through a US retailer.
Ordered a Topeak pump from JensonUSA (they were the only shop that had exactly the model I wanted) and a Salsa seatpost from WebCyclery. Good service from both, though Web' initially marked the package value incorrectly and it showed up with (get this) a $150 customs charge. I returned that to sender and they sent another so all's well that ends well.

Shipping from the US is a pain but if you "want what you want" eventually it's where you'll end up ordering from - we just don't have the selection in Canada.
