How to transfer a recorded route to Ride with GPS?

I have done it a few times in the past but cannot remember how.
We have recorded a ride on our Garmin 800. Now I would like to save it to Ride with GPS.
Anyone familiar with the how?
Thanks!

there is an upload menu option on the rwgps web page. They switched user interfaces last year sometime, but I think you can still use the old interface. On the new interface, there is a menu bar on the left with upload as one of the options. Hook the gps to your computer with a data cable and you should be able to upload it.

if you are still using the old interface, IIRC the upload option is along the top of the page.

Shouldn't there also be an auto-upload option on the Garmin in the app somewhere? I use Wahoo myself but the two companies are generally feature by feature the same. Every now and then I need to force upload from my Bolt to RWGPS and do it from the Elemnt phone app.

Why not just link your Garmin Connect account with your Ride with GPS account and then the last 30 days of activities transfer automatically

I probably should do that, but I'm afraid RWGPS would like it and it would just encourage them to try to be more like strava. Which I hate

I’ve used RWGPS a few years now, they are my activity tracker. I’ve no concerns about them turning into the next Strava, their mindset seems different. I dislike Strava as well.

I've used RWGPS too now for a few years. It records my rides without the social media part of Strava. I didn't need kudos every time I rode to work and recorded the miles.

I've found i've needed to do the same thing, manually send the ride from my Elemnt app to RWGPS, even though it's linked. This started maybe a month or so ago after a year of working fine. Odd. (on another tangent, i wish there was a way to name a ride in one app, and have the name reflected on all other linked apps, plus the upload of photos ie. Strava/RWGPS/Elemnt)

The only thing I've been able to come up with is that the phone is in low power mode when it doesn't upload. But I thought it uploads through the wifi when I'm home so it shouldn't be going through the phone. And the ride is on the phone app, just not in RWGPS. And sometimes it'll upload to TrainingPeaks and not RWGPS.

I'll have to say though that the fact that any of this works is worlds better than my old spreadsheet where I'd manually record my ride, and then only had distance, time and avg speed.

the only time I really want to upload through my phone is when I'm away from my computer. I tried to set it up so it would connect with my phone automatically, but it's not working for some reason. Not really worried about it enough to try to track down what I need to do. Probably means burning battery on both phone and gps.
