Q: affordable tool for campy cup&cone style old BB

hello all.
what would be the best (or recommendable) tool for the campy old 'cup&cone' style bb -- pls see attached pic. do i need 2 different tools for the cup and the lockring?

preferably not-so-expensive and easy-to-get one, as i will not most likely do this 'terribly often' (well, who knows?)

thanks!

You do need two tools. There are cheaper alternatives, but I don't like to skimp on poorly made tools. More often than not, that means I buy Park (if talking about new production tools).

Park SPA-2
Park HCW-5

Have your LBS put the fixed cup in. You may never have to move it again in your lifetime, so a tool investment may not be justified.

I like the Hozan lockring wrench, though the price is high. It's general purpose.

I like the Park SPA-1 pin wrench, because it's adjustable.

I agree don't skimp on the tools. Park and the 'bike speciality' tools and I Craftsman for all other tools. (stay away from that Craftsman EVO or whatever it is crap)

I am also with Noglider on this. you are unlikey to remove fixed cup (it should stay in for normal maint) and unless you overhaul on a regular basis just have your LBS put it in.

OR perhaps there is a fellow C&Ver nearby will to help for the price of an Ale??

yeah. totally hear you guys.
so it looks like, just going LBS would be better than a cheap tool.
unless attracted by those beautiful Park or Hozan tools.
i myself am a bit meticulous about the tools, so it is unlikely to buy any crappy ones.
problem is...
damn those Hozan tools look beauty. it was mistake to visit their website.
i know that i am not gonna need most of them more than once, but they just look beautiful to have.

so attempted to that headset wrench... (the huge plier c-203).
feel like it's gonna solve almost everything including my shower pipe, not only headset or bb.

thanks again for your inputs, folks.
