I may have to remove my email from ProBikeKit's mailing list. I've made 3 orders in 2 months and I don't think I'm stopping anytime soon with the 15% off coupon code.

Just ordered a Soma Double Cross Disc frame/fork along with a bunch of other parts and a custom set of wheels. I'll start a build thread somewhere.

Is that the helmet with built-in sensors that will send HR info to a watch/Garmin/iPhone? When I first looked it up I was hoping it would actually be showing that stuff in some sort of head-up display.

Yes it is, but I think an HUD will appear in the next generations. They are planning to get the GPS stuff inside the helmet so you can sooner or later ditch the computer and just by the helmet

I don't care what y'all say, I will continue to do my share to keep the cheap chinese generic carbon parts suppliers and resellers in business...
(hopefully I won't lose any expensive water bottles in the process - these babies are a little looser than the Arundel Mandibles)

Throw the stick!!!!
They are having issues with them. I can look down during a climb and see 300, 300, 120, 300, 300, 87, etc, etc. It is really screwing up my numbers. I have gone back to my 500 until they get it fixed. The problem is with both the 510 and the 810.
Here is my report to Garmin.
Here is a nice thread about it.

I am having issues with the 810 reading power (wattage) consistently. While climbing steadily I will look down and watch the wattage go from 300 down to 100 then back up to 300 (numbers are examples only). This is a problem since I use power to pace myself and to train. It is also messing up my average power and my normalized power.
Today I used both my Garmin 500 and the 810 on the same ride to see how much of a difference there is.
On the 500 my avg power was 154 watts with a normalized power of 212 watts. On the 810 my avg power was 146 and my normalized power was 199. In my opinion this difference is too much. I am including links to the ride with both computers.

Check my post above yours. Also read around on the Garmin site. There are plenty of places it has been documented.

If you don't use a pm they are amazing computers. Once Garmin gets the problem taken care of I'm sure I will be happy with my 810. I just think that it is a big enough problem that they should have had it taken care of prior to release. Power works fine with all of their prior computers, why did they have to make changes to that feature?
