Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That's pretty funny Froze,

Looked at the name of the link and I said, hey, 1984 Trek 660, can't believe it ... same bike.

This one's in the midst of being fixed up. I'd like to change the handlebars and stem first. Brakes also need some work.

There are few Cannondales that appeal to me, but I have to say that your frame, and hmai18's frame, are sensational.
Great choices.

Pedalbytes bike is extra small 44.0cm? Giant compact frame. Notice the back wheel is taller than the seat tube and the saddle is 2 inches shorter that the lower panel on the red door. I wonder if the 650 front wheel would help with sizing issues ? Nice rig though ....

I'm very intrigued by the Synapse. After 1000 miles on my 2006 Cannondale Six13 I'm pretty psyched about Cannondale's new designs. I'd love to test ride one. Maybe next year....

Man I have the professional, it's the next step down from yours! How do you like it? I freaking love my Fuji, it's soo smooth, light, and the shifting is like butter. Deffinately the nicest bike I have ever owned.
Good choice.
Cheers

My most used road bike is my 1984 rebuilt Centurion. I have rebuilt it with a Sora triple drive train, cheap o wheels from a local LBS failure sale, Tekro brakes from a Giant, unknown carbon fork off ebay, Crane Creek levers, Salsa HB, Velo seat, Ritchie seatpost.

Hmm... did you get that at BIKE WORLD? Do the bike a favor: lose the shop stickers. That's like having your car dealership's name plastered all over the passenger side door.

LoL......The shop does a lot for me and the local riders. We would not have the awesome group that we do nor would I be able to afford the bike stuff that I have if not for Bike World. If my payback to the shop is some advertising.....well it is the least I can do. I read all of the LBS horror stories on here....I have none of those. You cannot compare it to a car dealer logo where they stick them on thousands of cars a year. I can only hope your LBS experiance is a lot more personal than that, if not, then I do understand why you would compare it to car dealer stick on. Ugly or not.....it stays!

Noted, and for the record, my LBS is excellent. They've been a big part of my cycling experience over the last few years and have really helped me advance as a rider.

As for the sticker... it's just an aesthetics thing for me. I'm a guy who has no stickers on his frame... personal choice.

Nice ride, BTW.

I have the same bike. I am the original owner, and have logged lots of satisfying miles on it over the years. Have you tracked down any good information about this bike? I have the original peugeot catalog and can scan the PSV10 info for you if you are interested. Let me know.
