Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Not really, the Cannondale post is a bit more comfy. I also had crazy corrosion with that Al post.

Not.

2 more generic, off-the-rack bikes that anyone can grab from their LBS. Not a lot of personalization. They just look cheap, TBH.

While, I agree about the personalization, I don't think there's much more to update them on them. Still, a small splash of color anywhere would be an added bonus. If I wanted to nitpick, I'd say the chainring on the C60 isn't as nice as some of the other campy options, but whatever.

Right. Both just scream "my first road bike!!" without any thought to quality, longevity, or style. They also look heavy... 25+ lbs?

Thanks. I plan to keep this bicycle a decade, then it goes on the wall. The paint already has a ton of chips and **** from using it, but it's all one color and there is lots of paint left over so it's easy to touch up. I can race the thing with more confidence now because I'm not so worried about doing repairs on it and then matching paint, and it's super unique.

I say paint it, get away from the rolling bill-boards. PM me if you need the graphics files.

Also, check the head-tube:

If there was a Hot R Not thread in the recumbent forum, would it be considered rude to post a pic of this (please note it's all BLACK too and not anywhere close to a rolling billboard)...

no white garage door but the green wrist band gives a nice splash of color.

Another rube falling for the same bland matte black paint scheme. What a total loser.

I absolutely love it. I have a feeling I'll be keeping my EVO for years to come as well, however, I'd still like a new bike again at some point.

I even know a guy that paints carbon bikes (among other things)...so tempting.

My only regret is not getting the 52s. When I bought them, I didn't race bikes and planned on just riding them all the time. They are significantly faster than my training wheels (T-11/CX-Ray/SL-23), would buy again.

Slick looking Ritchey. Love the gumwalls.

The cx is ok but I really dislike the red inner chainring. Also dislike.any front fork that has a bend that bends that direction. They tend to look like they are on backwards to me.

I believe the only brand of blue brake pads are Reynolds, you can get other carbon specific pads that are gray/black. I'm guessing that's whats happening here.

Unless you're saying he should have blue to match the bike.
