Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Not for me either. It has potential, but as is, no. White stem imho looks pretty good on there. Seat tube is messed up. I think that white housing would look better and black tape.

Got the frame for low $ from a cousin who works at Trek, and built it with my own stuff. The specialized saddle is a torture device (for me and my narrow sit bones), so it's going to be swapped for an Arione soon. Not sure if I like the white stem, but it was the only 100mm I had, so that's what I'm running. My old bike was certified slammed, but I'm getting old, so I'm begrudgingly experimenting with a spacer under the stem. That combined with going from a 56 to a 54 has made trainer rides more comfortable so far. We'll see the full results once the weather breaks and I can get on the road.
Given the drop on your 54 looks like about 2cm, I'm not surprised you had to slam the stem on a 56.

Would be hot with black tape/saddle and maybe that seatmast thing too.

It's like you quoted the first paragraph of my post! The only thing I missed was the part about the seat post.

It's actually closer to 5cm, but doesn't look it in the picture. I think it's partly due to the wavy saddle.

And, white tape is for champions.

That GT is beautiful. It would take a contortionist to ride it, but it is still beautiful.

(No I do not like the bent seatpost ... oh well.)

Despite the adams-apple looking seatpost, I'm gonna say hot.

I have to agree on the tires, though... Although, if the blue logo/numbers stuff were not there, it might work.

Also, put some electrical tape over the AXIS on the fork.

Yes, the saddle appears to be at the limit line, but the middle of the saddle rails is still at least 10 mm behind the center line of the post.

It looks like the seat and post were just put on for the photo. If the original height is what the OP really uses, then either the frame is too small or the seat is too high...

Yikes, that same bike photo's been re-posted 10x (-ish) already!

My 2 cents: Nice bike, but not "hot". Seems a "hot" bike needs to be carbon, slammed, murdered out (or have anodized purple or gold, or both), ridiculous wheels, a groupset that Darth Vader would be proud of, and some kind of "bling" factor.
