I agree something doesn't seem right.

Thanks for looking at it, but I did a little web search and came across this picture of another Nova with those minimal decals. And since all the other details seem correct, and also from what I read about the decals on the early models, it no longer seems suspicious to me--not that I know what I'm doing by any means.

And thank God that Basso in CT on eBay isn't my size. I've got to stop looking at bikes.

I was very tempted. I didn't read the posting through out which said that the seller is willing to drop off at a bike shop until after the bidding.

The MS tubing is excellent. My Tommasini Diamante is built with it.

I was just about to email the seller as it’s local to me. I think I will anyway and play dumb and see what they say.

Thanks for catching it!

Good question and good catch on doing a Google image search to check!

That's why it can be a good idea to have a spare email and/or phone number to deal with CL listings, or only use CL relay email. As above, might be worth checking out if local and see what turns up. Sure to meet in a very public area, and of course, to ask for additional pictures and close ups, maybe with today's paper?

Hopefully the seller just used an example pic of what they think the model is.

I recently listed some CL stuff for free and had a text asking about it. I sent back a reply, then started getting some odd nonsensical texts from the "person". After a few weird texts, I blocked it. I'll think twice about giving out my text number in the future.

I am quite curious at what this individual will reply. I'm across the country so I have no interest in the bike but it would be funny to mess with this guy/girl

Frame building equipment

No affiliation, first time I've ever seen some of this up on CL. For all you budding frame builders, might be worth a look.

https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/...322538497.html

Frame Building Equipment - $5500 (Lake elsinore)

I am selling all of my frame building equipment that I have left including miscellaneous parts. Below is a list of what I have. I would like to sell as one lot and not price it out due to time constraints and health issues.
Henry James Frame Jig - complete with all parts and manual.
Park frame straightening jig also could double as a paint stand.
Park mechanic bike stand.
Cobra Frame Builders tool kit in original wood box. Same as Campy.
Misc frame and fork jigs.
Box of approx 40 bottom bracket shells.
Misc lugs, dropouts, bottle bosses and brakes bosses.
Misc boxes of road and mountain parts including track crank sets.
Tons of stuff needs to go asap! Not willing to negotiate or haggle. This took years for me to put together and you couldn't find it cheaper anywhere. Serious inquiries only.

Here is the reply I got from him.

Hello Mike,

My father-in-law is using my email to sell this bike on craigslist. He told me to tell anyone if they’re interested in looking at the bike he will be available this weekend… And that he’s caring for his grandkids this week :-).

I have your phone number and I will pass it along to him, So that he can call you this weekend and set something up?
