All those amazing pictures...I call that cycling pornography. :-) I could stare at those pictures all day long, but, alas, back to work.

Morning sunshine provided me with the opportunity for a Giro Amentea-Belmonte-Longonardi. I came across my local cycling friend again. We found the time for a few pictures;

Cripes. Yer killin me.

Honestly, SoCal is a lot like Southern Italy in terms of the terrain and the coastal mountains. And we have some really awesome cycling. But we do not have eats like that, nor the Italian vibe. Insanely jealous here.

Keep your eye out for a small castle with a small attached vineyard at a good price.

This might (or might not) fit your needs;

https://www.messynessychic.com/2014/...oned-20-years/

Castello di Sammezzano is a show-stopper, a jaw-dropper. Hidden away in the Tuscan hills of Northern Italy, this electrifyingly beautiful Moorish castle was built a whopping 400+ years ago in 1605, and for more than two decades it was neglected, sitting empty and vulnerable to vandalism — until now. Once on the brink of becoming one of our planet’s grandest architectural losses, it has now been fully restored and is on the market for $18, 326, 206.

I like it. I have a soft spot for castles as well as damsels in distress. In the Hudson Valley where I grew up, in the second half of the 19th century, artists and robber barons from NYC took to building castles near the river. https://www.messynessychic.com/2013/...e-of-new-york/ There are a bunch of them, now abandoned and I with friends during our youth, explored some of them. No matter how grand they may have been in their day, the Hudson Valley is not Tuscany.
