Im a bit speechless on the price --- but with a "Yeah, but" caveat thrown in

true NOS unridden dealer display -- so pretty

OTOH --- Campy 50th anniversary is 1983 and the Paramount 50th is 1988 if we're splitting hairs --- Bike should have a C-Record group on it

Oh look finally a Paramount in my size! If I had that dough I'd immediately go to a small builder instead.

So interested in the pics I failed to do my reading - thanks!

Still, it's also missing the little knurled cap on the end of the DS rear DO adjusting screw...so I'll pass

Not sure if he will get it -- but if it is really unused and unridden , ( he took a hit on value of the group just by installing it - but that was 31 years ago ) --- Its a very special bicycle and the seller is not out of line asking 8k for it --- but I highly doubt he will even get a phone call on it from Craigslist

This bike below has definitely been ridden

PDG Paramounts never fail to get a shrug and a meh from me. This one is no different.

A 50th group set sold on the bay for $3,600.00, so I guess some people just have to have it...just like the astronomical prices for some things etc.
To some bragging rights come with a high price, in my book that is a lot of money to be spent on a wall hanger...to each their own, if you have the excess might as well use it if it floats your boat, we can't take it with us.
I can think of better ways to utilize the $8,000.00.

If you want that, it's an extra "grand".

Here's the competitor. 50th with the 50th. He's had his ebay listing up since the beginning of the year.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Schwinn-Par...wAAOSwPhhbYPWU

Then there's 'greatbikemoves' out of NY. He always has spectacular vintage rides listed. A bit high, but you know your getting a flawless bike unless noted. And his 'detail' with his listing set the high water mark. No groupo 50th on this one, just an amazing vintage Schwinn Paramount....

Isn't a 1988 Paramount without the gold fork just a 1988 Paramount? It's my understanding that only the ones with the gold fork are considered 50th Anniversary Commemoratives.

That '74 is beautiful but the decals are wrong for that year; it shouldn't have the Olympic Rings decal on the seat post.
