Nice bike. With the pair of flint catchers, and that bottle cage, probably was owned by a serious cyclist. The Huret Jubilee is likely one of the ones that's compatible with the Campy drops/stop, which is cool. It may well also have a metric threaded Suntour freewheel.

I've always liked the early versions of this model. I wish it had been around in 1971 when I bought my Grand Touring.

the 3 years that for certain used this round badge for USA models ('74, '75, and '76) catalogs only spec'd an Ideale 80 for the last year, previous 2 had "padded suede top" saddles of no specific brand.
Also the DOs were called out as "Huret" in '74, then next 2 years only "forged", must have been a lucky day when this frame was built and the bins had Campy DOs as the "drops du Jour". Note the Huret Jubile RD came in versions to fit either a Huret DO or a Campy (or style) DO.
Ben Lawee spec'd Brooks saddles for Grand Records and '74 Le Champion models during this timeframe, but doubt the Middlemore was OEM

Interesting since the catalog specs (always could be "subject to change without notice") for '74 thru '76 list tubing as "531 DB with forged ends" which we know is catalog-speak for 3 main tubes (only) being 531, the remainder including fork blades being pot luck!
I recall working on a Grand Jubile for a friend that was also Vitus (full set IIRC) but don't recall what badge it had or what year we thought it might have been, also can't recall if the DOs were SunTour or...?
My guess is USA Motos may have kept the round badge for another year or 2, so perhaps this is a '77 or '78, do you have any better info as to the year of this example?

I have a full vitus jubilee. I think it rides better than the 531 jubilee I have. However the 531 has the awesome long cage jubile derailleur which is just too cool.

The Vitus GJ has remnants of a vitus decal on seat tube, plus vitus decals on both fork blades. Bought as bare frame with headset + bottom bracket + 3 clamps on TT. Seller said was a 79, but others tell me 79's had cable guides brazed on top tube, mine had clamps. I got the Shimano 600 Arabesque group on ebay from a guy selling Ross bikes NIB that were Hi Ten frames with the Shimano 600 group. Sold the Ross frame to a guy who built a single speed. Anyway, has a great ride. I also have a 2nd 531 Grand Jubile and Mixte Jubile, both with Jubile deraileurs, don't remember mixte's frame tubing. They all have a smooth ride to go with their good looks. Used to take along the Vitus GJ whenever we traveled and is probably my most ridden. Don

found comments on a few older threads that believe campy tips may indicate repurposed grand record frames, suggesting possible 531 stays.

was strongly considering kicking this one up to the top of the overhaul list, but now realizing it’s not just a crank extractor I need to locate, but also an extra wide atom remover.

Never heard of that before, but coulda happened! Note the fork tips are plain stamped plate and no blade decal like 531 or Vitus so if it is a (bonus!) GR frame they clawed some back with this (probably Hi-Ten blades) fork.
Still most folks here love the ride of both GJ and GR from this era, so you probably will, too.
And search the threads for one where folks with these hard-to-find tools have offered to loan some (IF you qualify), I'm sure there was a Stronglight crank extractor and the big Normandy/Atom FW tool in that mix.
