I agree, Graham is a great cycling photographer but he uses a modern digital SLR with a shutter like a machine g*n. A lot of these photos were taken with cameras that had to be wound on manually so you got one shot at the shot rather than being able to select the best out of ten.

Got the link to the video by any chance?

You do the best you can with what you have.

Neither cyclists or photographers ever imagined that that equipment would get better then the "state of the art" stuff they were using at the time.

The men and women who crossed the American plains to settle the West were using the best available equipment.

Fabio Casartelli (16 August 1970 – 18 July 1995) was an Italian cyclist and an Olympic gold medalist who died in a crash on the descent of the Col de Portet d'Aspet, France, during the 15th stage of the 1995 Tour de France.

I found it. https://youtu.be/yVAknjyZW0g

Around the five minute mark but it looks like it is a store, not a home. My mistake.

I'm not really against your posting pics of the fatal racing accident, but I think it was not a bad idea for the Forum to give forum viewers at least the option to see those particular pics or not as it did feel quite disturbing to see the close up, colored, detailed pics of the fallen Italian Pro racer, at least for me, personally.
